Chest containing a thousand pieces of gold
Wood is split by hand and whittled to very fine toothpicks. Even an experienced craftsman can only produce 2000 pieces per day. These have been made by an established shop with 300 years of history. The senryobako used to place thousands pieces of gold in old times is treasured as a good luck gift.
