Calligraphy brush making is one of the areas of expertise that has been handed down for 1200 years in Nara. These are ink pens that produce calligraphy-like strokes, made by a traditional craftsman of the Akashiya ink brush manufacturer in Nara. The main body is decorated with paper carrying traditional Komon patterns used in Kimono.
